Provide direction to the FCO EMA manufacturing operations in the areas of operational excellence – manufacturing productivity, production and materials planning systems, inventory optimization, manufacturing technology, etc.
Influence the shift in mindset and behavior in regards to operational excellence and continuous improvement across the FCO sites; implementation of step-change in Operational Excellence
Partner with the site/plant manager and their leadership teams to identify and quantify specific areas of productivity and inventory turns improvements, and provide supporting resources as available to execute these initiatives.
Be a leader on safety – conduct safety walkthroughs in conjunction with site safety coordinators and operations leadership. Lead by example to ensure that a strong safety culture of prevention exists in all areas.
Coaching / mentoring stakeholders at all levels to support them through the adoption of lean principles and practices
Assessing, analyzing and implementing solutions across the division to identify and eliminate waste, organize around Lean processes and deliver excellence on safety, environmental, quality, productivity and cost
Facilitating the selection and scope of specific improvement projects while coordinating with leaders to eliminate barriers and raise awareness if / when needed
Lead specific initiatives at major sites to deliver measurable improvements in productivity and inventory turns. Establish shadow organizations at the operations on specific projects to ensure that the improvements become the “new normal” at the site. Identify best practices and develop programs to apply them to as many sites as feasible.
Contribute to the enterprise level operation initiatives as opportunities arise – lead or provide input into development of new systems and metrics for operational excellence.
Engineering or technical undergraduate degree
Masters degree in Business or Finance is preferred
Minimum five years of experience in a leadership role in a large manufacturing operation
Extensive knowledge of valves, actuator, or pumps and the associated materials of construction and manufacturing and testing process
Familiarity with quality programs involving ISO, API, ASME, and other standards associated with the Flowserve products and applications
Aptitude with ERP systems, especially shop floor control and supply chain functionality in SAP or Oracle
Able to build and maintain strong relationships at remote sites
Capability of handling large volume of work and managing multiple priorities
Demonstrated proficiency and passion for lean methodology, tools and manufacturing process improvement.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing portfolio of projects and in leading change through others to achieve operational excellence.
Exceptional skills in leadership, coaching, analytical problem solving and strong business acumen.
Proficiency in appropriate PC software for the position

Provide input and participate in the development of standard enterprise definitions for engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, etc.
Partner with selected sites to improve performance of the operational KPIs. Maintain close relationships with the plant managers and be a valuable resource for their improvement programs.
